After receiving the nod of
approval from the Centre, Greater Noida is all set to make way for country’s
largest airport, expected to be functional in the next 5 years. Jewar Airport
is expected to absorb quite a large portion of the heavy passenger footfall
which, currently, is handled by the Indira Gandhi International Airport in
Delhi.
As per sources, the process of
earlier stage clearance has been granted and the construction is slated to
commence in October this year. This will be followed by facilitation of Metro
rail, confirmed to be extended to the airport, consequently handling around 3
million passengers in the area every year.
The airport is likely to manage
a capacity of upto 50 million passengers, per year. The footfall is going to be
an advantageous opportunity for Noida’s real estate sector, greatly shaping the
magnitude of investment for many.
Jewar’s airport construction
has spearheaded road-construction, road authorities having advanced multi model
transport facilities. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority
has been sanctioned the widening of now-six-lane Yamuna Expressway to eight
lanes to smoothen traffic to the Jewar Airport. A decision of great foresight
as a round figure of five million passengers is expected with the airport
construction—causing plenty of real estate ventures to happen around the Yamuna
Expressway corridor. One such project, X Noida by Bayaweaver, a reputed
realtor, with retail, entertainment, studio apartments and even a hotel is
expected to cater to the footfalls and investment potential arising from the
airport inception. Conceptualised by the world's finest minds in
architecture and real estate, X Noida, promises to be the showstopper of
Noida's skyline in the near future.
As Greater Noida prepares the
biggest runway for millennials into the future, will you be onboard?
